How to get rich !
The concept of being "rich" is indeed multifaceted and varies significantly from person to person. I recently watched a programme by Ramith Sethi who has also published various books in relation to this such asI Will Teach You To Be Rich (2nd Edition): No guilt, no excuses - just a 6-week programme that works (https://amzn.to/40EUE3j ) and Money for Couples: No More Stress. No More Fights. Just a 10-Step Plan to Create Your Rich Life Together (https://amzn.to/4hKPVTF). One thing that made me think more was ´Rich means something different to each person´. So what ticks a box or boxes for you to feel rich?
While financial wealth is a common association, richness can encompass a wide range of elements that contribute to a fulfilling and meaningful life. Having sufficient financial resources to meet one's needs, pursue passions, and ensure security is really a traditional measure of richness. This includes income, savings, investments, and ownership of property. The ability to live comfortably without the constant stress of financial obligations can contribute to a sense of richness. But for some strong, supportive relationships with family and friends can provide emotional wealth that surpasses material possessions. Being part of a community or having a sense of belonging can enhance one's feeling of richness.
Furthermore considering current trends and priorities in the world, good health is also a key for many individuals. It allows individuals to enjoy life fully and pursue their interests without limitations feeling richness in their lives. Also having emotional stability, mental health, and the ability to cope with stress contribute significantly to one's sense of richness. On the other hand engaging in meaningful work or having a fulfilling career can make individuals feel rich in purpose and achievement. This can also combine with having the time to spend with loved ones, engage in leisure activities, and relax is a valuable aspect balancing the work and life to the maximum can also be part of feeling of being rich.
Lastly maybe the freedom to make choices about how to spend one's time and resources contributes to a sense of richness. But for some, richness includes spiritual growth, inner peace, and a sense of connection to something greater than themselves.
In a mindfulness setting being present and content with what one has can lead to a profound sense of richness. As you can see one can measure the richness depending on their view of richness. So can we really put a specific definition for richness?
However, considering all above and based on many experiences and values I've been brought up, it's clear that richness is a deeply personal and subjective concept. Ultimately, richness often lies in the balance and harmony between various life aspects, tailored to individual values and aspirations. Richness for me extends far beyond financial wealth, encompassing emotional, social, physical, and spiritual dimensions. It's a personalized measure that reflects what individuals prioritize and value in their lives. By recognizing and nurturing these diverse aspects, one can cultivate a rich and fulfilling existence.
